Hysterical Figures

Hip Hop and Historical Biography? Those two things just COULDN'T work together.
11 Tony's later, Hamilton proved that you never know what a good mash up can do.

On June 3rd, Crown Point Community Theatre will be embarking on its 3rd DIY Theatre production: Hysterical Figures. Directors will lead teams to create a 20-30 minute genre specific production based on a famous person bestowed to them that morning.
Example: Your team could be doing a 20 minute Shakespearean show about JFK, or a Soap Opera about Mr. Rogers. The team will be in charge of researching, writing, and performing the show. You can tell the life story of the person, one specific day in his or her life, or whatever else you decide.

Actor Responsibilities:

  • Be available from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm on June 3rd, 2017
  • Have transportation to and from Crown Point, Indiana
  • Willingness to work as a team to research, write, and perform
  • Flexibility during the day and performance
Willingness to have fun, be goofy, and try something new

*This is just an application to be considered to be an actor for the event. We will contact you later if your application is accepted!
